Session Title:
Update-Intensive Real-Time Data Analysis, Using Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database
Session Abstract:
This session discusses a high-performance, real-time data analysis project developed by the Veracity Group, using Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database to cache a subset of the Oracle Database schema in the middle tier. It describes the approach taken by the application to achieve 10,000 updates per second and 100,000 reads per second with a no-data-loss, high-availability configuration. This session discusses key performance criteria that should be considered by developers and DBAs when working with performance-critical applications.
In capital market applications, transaction processing speed is a key differentiator among service providers. NYFIX, a global leader in liquidity solutions for capital markets, offers real-time marketplaces that must be blindingly fast and utterly reliable. This session discusses the approach NYFIX uses to implement a high-performance distributed technology platform that provides multiple levels of high availability, using Oracle TimesTen In-Memory Database with replication and caching in conjunction with NYFIX's proprietary software.
