Do I have to be a developer to attend?

No.  But have an interest in technology.   There are lots of human interface, robotic controls, and firmware people about.

 

Is this another VC smooze-fest?

It's a get your geek on event.   While some VCs come, they come to see what's fun, new, and cool.

 

What's my ideal SHDH night?

You come with a small, fun idea.  You hack it together with a couple people you find that want to learn the technology.  It goes live.  You give a lightning talk.
